Twin Sync: Operational Digital Twins for Modern Integration Challenges

Every device gets a structured interface—readable, ovsersable, and controllable

Twin Sync is Queue0's operational digital twin implementation—providing a unified interface for each physical device that makes seamless integration with software systems, AI agents, and end users.

What Are Operational Digital Twins?

An operational digital twin is a live, structured representation of a physical device. Twin Sync creates one for each device that maintains three things:

  1. Current State - Real-time properties, status, and parameters
  2. Capabilities - What the device can do, described in open standards
  3. Operational History - Actions, events, and state changes with full causal relationships

Each device gets a structured interface that makes it readable, controllable, and coordinatable by any system—turning isolated equipment into orchestratable resources.

Twin Sync implements this using open standards, ensuring every device—regardless of vendor—can be understood and integrated the same way.

What This Gives You

Simple Integration Across Vendors

Twin Sync uses open standards (Web of Things, OpenAPI, OPC UA) so any device—new smart equipment, existing PLCs, or legacy machines—exposes the same interface. Your systems read device capabilities, subscribe to events, and send commands the same way regardless of manufacturer.

No proprietary SDKs. No vendor lock-in. No rip-and-replace.

Causal Traceability

Every state change, action, and event is recorded with causal relationships preserved. When something goes wrong, you can trace exactly what triggered what—not just timestamps in disconnected logs, but the actual chain of causality.

This matters for diagnostics, compliance audits, and root cause analysis—whether you're debugging manually or using AI agents to analyze patterns.

How We Use This

Twin Sync's operational digital twins provide a foundation that Queue0's other products build on:

  • Workflow Engine builds on the twin's event ledger for reliable orchestration with complete traceability—every state change and action is recorded, making workflows auditable and debuggable
  • Agents use the twin's structured, causal history to build complete operational context for decision support—reducing hallucination and improving accuracy in diagnostics and recommendations

We built Twin Sync to power our own products first. Our agents and workflow engine run on the same operational digital twin layer. They depend on the same reliability, causality, and real-time performance.

We're using the same foundation you would be.

You can use Twin Sync standalone for standardized device integration, or combine it with Queue0's agent and workflow capabilities.
